About the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana

- Promote the use of Made-in-India solar modules and cells, supporting the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
- Encourage the development of Model Solar Villages in each district to showcase the benefits of solar energy adoption.
The scheme offers substantial subsidies to households for installing rooftop solar systems:
- Up to ₹30,000 for 1 kW systems.
- Up to ₹60,000 for 2 kW systems.
- Up to ₹78,000 for systems between 2 to 3 kW capacity.
These subsidies are directly credited to the beneficiary's bank account within 30 days of installation approval.
